Gauze screen projection is a form of holographic projection. It projects video content onto a gauze screen using a projector, displaying the video content on the screen.

Compared to other holographic projections, the only difference is the medium used for projection. The gauze screen material can be as thin as gauze or as fine wire mesh.

1. The Color and Mesh Density of the Gauze Screen

   For color, lighter colors have stronger reflectivity, while darker colors have limited reflectivity. The weaker the reflectivity, the higher the required illuminance in front of the screen.

   Regarding mesh density, similar to resolution, larger mesh sizes result in higher transparency.

   The material of the mesh also affects its usability. Outdoors, durable materials are generally chosen, and regular replacement is necessary due to sun, wind, and rain exposure.

   The quality of a mesh screen projection depends on both ambient light and the projector.

   The projector's rear or front projection method, brightness selection, and the actual environment all affect the display quality.

   As mentioned earlier, the difference between mesh screen projection and other projection methods is the medium. Therefore, mesh screen projection can exhibit color distortion, requiring adjustments based on the specific video content being projected.

4. Viewing Angle

   Every screen or imaging medium has a recommended viewing angle, and mesh screens are no exception. In mesh screen projection, the viewer's position influences the projector's installation location.

   In principle, direct projection light should be avoided in the eyes of the audience. It is generally recommended that the projector be installed on the same side as the audience to prevent light from shining into their eyes and improve the viewing experience.

Gauze screen projection is becoming increasingly common in stage design. As a mature application, its ability to create dreamlike scenes that blend reality and illusion will lead to its increasing presence in exhibitions and displays in the future.
